SACRED BLACK LOUNGE EXPERIENCE.
The Black Sacred Lounge Experience is a curated event series and community space for Black folks navigating queerness, belonging, and spirituality.
R.E.S.T IN THE CITY PILGRIMAGE
R.E.S.T. in the City is a pilgrimage and practice lab for leaders learning to embody liberation through place, body, memory, and community. Guided by Dr. Spencer-Helms’s doctoral work in Social Transformation, the program draws on the R.E.S.T. Mixtape framework—an original curriculum designed to support an interethnic, interfaith, intergenerational container for embodied, place-based liberation practice in place, and across difference.
Sub:Culture Fellows Program
The Sub:Culture Fellowship is a paid cultural production fellowship through Black Modern Mystic Media. Fellows complete a seven-city pilgrimage in partnership with The Clearing Online, supported by online courses, coaching, cultural immersion, and cohort-based formation. The program culminates in a showcase and certification event where donors, partners, friends, loved ones, and community members witness the fellows’ creative, spiritual, and public leadership in real time.
BLACK SCIENCE LABS
Black Science Labs are contemporary Hush Harbors—intentional, fugitive spaces where Black people come together to experiment with freer ways of being. Through ritual, play, somatic practice, artmaking, and collective care, the Labs interrupt inherited colonial “prediction loops” that teach black bodies who is safe, holy, and fully human.
