The Clearing is a decentralized, digital-first congregational space designed for post-Christian, queer, and spiritually disillusioned people who are seeking a sacred space where culture is honored as sacred text, Jesus is followed outside of empire, and liberation is a spiritual practice. Inspired by the sacred refusal of historical hush harbors—hidden gatherings for expression, healing, and truth—we are tethered to that tradition as a spiritual refuge for modern-day spiritual fugitives.

We gather weekly to read culture as sacred text alongside scripture, engage in ritual, storytelling, and spiritual practices and and inherited wisdom.
